Ongoing events: Sunday Contact Lab (focused jam format, every Sunday) Sunday 9:45 AM–noon @ 2126 Pearl St., Boulder, at Pearl Street Studio; Contact w/ some discussion & analysis. $4-7 sliding scale. All skill levels welcome. Format includes an opening circle and closing circle, and dancers are encouraged to voice their immediate experiences, interests, and needs to their partners and the group. Facilitators occasionally offer optional exercises and workshops. An environment of experimentation and trust in which dancers encounter personal edges of all kinds—technical, social, and spiritual. Focused Contact Improvisation Jam!
When: Saturday, December 12th, 4-6pm (2nd Saturday of each month)
Where: Packing House Center for the Arts (PHCA), 835 E 50th Ave, Denver
Cost: $4-7 (depending on your abundance)Focus: We'll introduce an arc of focus for each jam and thread this focus through a facilitated warm-up and then open score/dancing. This focus is totally optional (choose it, chose your own!). We'll also have a very informal and brief closing harvest/check-in at the end. There will be music.
